Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the complianz-gdpr domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Privacy Policy – EERAdata Community Platform

Privacy Policy

Who we are

The EERAdata Community Platform was developed by the EERAdata Consortium.

General

The following simple overview describes what happens to your personal information when you visit our website. Personal information is any data with which you could be personally identified.

The platform is maintained by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, using the cloud service provider TSOhost. On this platform you can create, store and edit metadata that will be made open after submission and approval by the platform team. You are responsible for the compliance of that metadata with the GDPR. To create metadata on the platform you are required to provide personal information (name and/or email address). We collect this data and store it separately from the metadata according to the GDPR. If you use the feedback form provided on the platform, your IP address, browser user agent string and geographical coordinates are stored to help spam detection.

Cookies

On eeradata-platform.eu we use only functional cookies, collecting no personal information.

Who we share your data with

All metadata you provide will be added to the open, searchable metadata repository on the platform. Comments, questions and feedback are collected through the survey service Alchemer, whose privacy statement can be found at https://www.alchemer.com/privacy/.

How long we retain your data

The metadata you create and the comments you leave are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have provided your own personal information (during the creation of metadata on the platform, or by giving feedback through the feedback form), we will store this information separately from the metadata you provided and never publish the personal information.  You have the right to request that we erase any personal data we hold about you (through the feedback form or info@eeradata.eu), and the platform team will continuously monitor and follow such requests. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
