Details for the use case workshop "EU policy and energy research taxonomies".

UC “EU policy and energy research taxonomies”: Tuesday, 1/12/2020 (10am-2pm): The workshop focuses on metadata, exploring how to link ontologies used for policy-making and those used in research domains.
Six ontology islands will be analyzed:

  1. EERAdata ontology - entire energy system for low carbon energy transition
  2. Oxford’s fairsharing.org SRAO - all scientific disciplines
  3. EU Directives - specialized legal documents (EU level)
  4. Keywords from the journal “Energy” - publisher’s perspective on the energy domain
  5. EuroSciVoc - vocabulary generated from the EU project database CORDIS
  6. COMETS inventory - practical use case based on a Horizon 2020 project.

The workshop will use the software "GitMind" to work on the ontology, incorporating suggestions from workshop participants. The participants will form one of the writing teams for the community paper.
